Gynecology and Obstetrics

Our gynecological services focus on the overall health of the female reproductive system. We treat women of all ages, offering everything from annual gynecological examinations to Pap tests to treatments for vaginal and urinary tract infections, and screening for STIs and cervical cancer.

Consultations are covered by your provincial health plan, while most treatments and testing are covered by most health insurance providers. Please note that a referral from a physician is required for all consultations with a gynecologist.

Whether expecting your first child or your third, our obstetricians are here to care for all of you, throughout every step of your pregnancy. Our compassionate team of obstetricians provide personalized care through every trimester and after delivery. We are also here to guide through a wide range of other issues including miscarriage, infertility and postpartum.

Your initial appointment with your obstetrician occurs roughly eight weeks after your last menstrual period. For routine pregnancies, we will see you within the time frame recommended by your doctor.

When preparing for a visit with your obstetrician, be sure to track your pregnancy symptoms carefully. Also, bring your provincial health care card, and a list of prescription and non-prescription medications you are taking, along with any questions you may have.

Consultations with an obstetrician are covered by your provincial health plan and do not require a referral from your physician.
