Our clinics in Edmonton and Calgary offer easy access to comprehensive care through the Fastrack Program.

This care management program operates under the direction of a physician, and is accessed on an appointment or walk-in basis. Care is provided as quickly as possible by knowledgeable and compassionate medical teams at our clinics. You get the benefit of decreased waiting time, so you can get back to feeling better quickly.

When to use the Fastrack Program?

The Medicentres Fastrack Program is here for you if you are experiencing any of the following medical conditions, or if you require any of the following:

Bladder and urinary tract infections
Contraceptive advice and refills
Dressing changes
Travel advice and vaccinations
Ear pain
Eye pain
High blood pressure
Injections and allergy shots
Prescription refills
Lice
Non-genital wart treatments.

A Fastrack appointment can also help with minor injuries including:

Fractures of hands, wrists and forearms
Fractures of the foot and ankle
Strains and sprains
Cuts and bruises
Cast removal
Stitch removal.

How to Use the Fastrack Program?

Call or visit your nearest Medicentres clinic to book an appointment.

Appointments are generally provided on the same day, or whenever the next available appointment is available.

Bring your provincial health care card with you.

Bring a list of prescription and non-prescription medications you are taking.

Whether expecting your first child or your third, our obstetricians are here to care for you, throughout every step of your pregnancy. Your initial appointment with your obstetrician occurs roughly eight weeks after your last menstrual period.

When preparing for a visit with your obstetrician, be sure to track your pregnancy symptoms carefully. Also, bring your provincial health care card, and a list of prescription and non-prescription medications you are taking, along with any questions you may have.

Consultations with an obstetrician are covered by your provincial health plan and do not require a referral from your physician.

Booking your appointment

If testing is required for travel, be sure to confirm which test is accepted for the countries you will be visiting or passing through, including all connections and your final destination. Check with the country’s consulate or embassy for more information.

Find an ELNA COVID testing centre near you and be sure to select the correct location and COVID test when booking your appointment online. Walk-ins are accepted.

During your appointment

When you arrive at the testing centre, be prepared to show a valid ID and the appointment confirmation received by email. If the country to which you are travelling requires a passport number on the test results, please bring a valid passport as well.

The tests themselves take only a few minutes and your entire appointment should last no longer than 15 minutes. Verbal results for the rapid COVID test are given on premises before you leave.

After your appointment

Rapid antigen results will be sent by email and text message within 3 hours following your test. All other results will be sent by email in less than 24 hours after the test.

If you do not receive your result within the expected time period, please check your spam folder and then email the clinic where you were tested. Be sure to provide your full name, the date and time of your appointment, and which test you received.

To request a QR code, please forward the email of your result to the clinic where you were tested and they will respond as quickly as possible.

To cancel your appointment

If you need to cancel your appointment, please email the clinic where you have an appointment scheduled. Be sure to provide your full name, and the date and time of your appointment. Cancellation requests made at least 24 hours in advance are eligible for a refund.
