What happens during a cardiology consultation?

Your cardiologist will ask you questions about your family and personal medical history, your symptoms, and any medication you are taking. They will proceed to measure your blood pressure, check your lungs and perform an electrocardiogram.

Your doctor may also ask you to do exercises or, if necessary, prescribe additional tests including a transthoracic echocardiogram or a stress echocardiogram.

Results will be promptly sent to your doctor.
