Our story

Founded by Laurent Amram, the ELNA Medical Group comprises ELNA Medical, Canada’s largest integrated network of medical clinics; CDL Laboratories, a leader in round-the-clock medical diagnostics for more than three decades; and m-Health, a leader in in-home cardiac diagnostic and real-time monitoring systems.

Supported by sustained acquisitions, ELNA Medical has grown rapidly since its establishment in 2016. Today, ELNA’s ever-growing network includes over 1,000 professionals offering a wide array of quality primary and specialty medical services at more than 95 clinics and points of care throughout Canada.

With more than 30 in-house specialties and leading practices in family medicine, pediatrics, cardiology, urology, and sexual wellness, ELNA continues to expand its comprehensive omnichannel offering through continuous investment in R&D and disruptive cutting-edge technologies, including AI.

Key dates

1993 With just 8 employees, CDL Laboratories becomes Quebec’s first computerized lab, developing its own LIMS (laboratory information management system).
1997 CDL becomes the first lab in Quebec to possess four separate medical laboratory permits (micro, bio, hemato, patho), enabling to perform over 95% of its tests in-house, hence ensuring the fastest turn-around.
2001 CDL inaugurates its clinical research department and becomes operational 24/7.
2001 CDL inaugurates its clinical research department and obtains CAP, NY State, GLP and CLIA accreditations. CDL operates 24h per day; the first of its kind in Quebec.
2004 CDL obtains NY State Dept. of Health License and CLIA accreditation.
2009 Launches new CDL Cardiology Clinic.
2015 CDL becomes the first lab in North America to acquire the most advanced robotic technology from world leader Roche Diagnostics.
2016 Establishment of ELNA Medical Network.
2017 CDL becomes the only lab in Canada to hold both CAP and ISO 15189 accreditation.
2017 ELNA acquires Tiny Tots, Quebec’s premier pediatric clinics.
2018 ELNA Medical reaches 11 clinics, with 2 new acquisitions and the creation of a Wellness division in the same year.
2020 ELNA becomes Canada’s largest network of medical clinics with the acquisition of 38 Medicentres clinics in Alberta, Manitoba, Ontario and Saskatchewan.
2020 CDL is the first lab in Canada to deploy COVID-19 screening centres.
2021 CDL becomes the first lab in Quebec to offer in-house pathology results within 48-72 hours.
2021 CDL has grown to a 125-employees lab diagnostics leader in Quebec.
2021 ELNA establishes ELNA+ private clinics, and continues its expansion in Quebec with multiple acquisitions.
2022 ELNA adds 34 new points of care with its investment in MD Connected, offering fully digital and human-assisted telemedicine clinics at pharmacies throughout Ontario.
2022

ELNA makes a major foray into in-home patient monitoring with acquisition of m-Health Solutions.

2022 Establishment of ELNA Medical Group, comprising ELNA Medical and CDL Laboratories.
