Dr. Szilagyi is semi-retired from clinical gastroenterology. He mainintains limited office hours for diagnostic work in this specialty. He also continues to work academically in the area of inflammatory bowel disease and food intolerances, particularly lactose intolerance. In addition, Dr. Szilagyi has been invited to lecture in Japan, the Netherlands, and at the NIH. His semi-retirement allows him to continue treating his patients with a more meaningful and relaxed approach.
