Dr. Annie Desroches did her university training in family medicine, as well as her certificate of special competence in emergency medicine, at Université Laval from 1996 to 2004. She then worked at the Trois-Rivière emergency department for a year, and at the CHUL emergency department (CHU de Québec) from 2005 to 2020. During these years at CHUL, She took ultrasound training in the emergency department (ÉDU 1 and ÉDU 2) and became an independent ultrasound practitioner in 2006. She have also been involved in teaching externs and residents at the CHUL emergency department for 15 years. She created a course on “The feverish child in the emergency department”, which She’ve been teaching at the Faculty of Medicine since 2007. That same year, She was appointed clinical professor in the Department of Family Medicine in the Faculty of Medicine at Université Laval. She also worked as co-director of internship residents in the CHUL emergency department from 2011 to 2019. Finally, She was a consultant in musculoskeletal pathologies (C.C.M.S.) from 2007-2017. Since 2019, She have been practicing medicine at La Cité Médicale de Ste-Foy.
