Our History

ELNA Medical, a privately held company, was founded in early 2016 by Laurent Amram, an entrepreneur with a solid experience in the medical field in Quebec. He has been successfully operating the CDL Laboratories since 1993.

There is a massive gap in the healthcare industry between the demand and supply of quality healthcare. ELNA Medical is currently filling this gap and helping change the healthcare landscape in Quebec through healthcare service delivery re-engineering by offering under one roof a full range of both RAMQ and private high quality multi-specialty medical services.

ELNA Medical is essentially focused on medical services, advanced technologies and R&D. It is the most important network of fully integrated medical complexes and clinics in Canada. Each medical complex or clinic is ultra-modern, paperless and strategically located, including renowned specialists and highly qualified and experienced professionals.

Laurent Y AMRAM

President & Chief Executive Officer

Laurent Amram is a dynamic entrepreneur and the visionary behind some of Quebec's most successful corporate-owned healthcare ventures. Laurent founded CDL Laboratories in 1993, which has grown to become a leading Canadian diagnostic laboratory and national showcase/business partner of Roche Diagnostics. Today CDL Labs proudly serves more than 350 clinics and thousands of MD's, with a relentless focus on quality , service excellence, cutting-edge technology and innovation. Building on its successes, in 2016, he launched a network of medical service facilities under the ELNA Medical banner, which has quickly become the largest network of primary and specialty care clinics in Canada with more than 54 medical clinics, 800 health professionals and one million patients served per year.


Chief Operating Officer

Levi L. Perez P. Eng, MSC. has a significant management and consulting experience. He held top-level management positions with very large Manufacturing and Telecommunications companies. He held the position of VP and Group VP at Bell Canada and Bell Sygma. Levi was a member of the board of several companies, including CogniCase, MLLA and Citius Amerique as well as a member of the Executive Council of Ecole Polytechnique. Levi has over 40 years of extensive management and executive consulting experience and a vast and profound knowledge of Business Planning, Strategic Planning, Performance Management and Quality Management. Levi holds an engineering degree in Electronics and an engineering degree in Applied Mathematics & Computer Science from reputable engineering schools in France, as well as an engineering degree and a master’s degree in industrial engineering from Ecole Polytechnique in Montreal. Levi holds also a degree from the International Center for Management Research.

Chief Financial Officer

Terry Lefebvre is a high performing influential executive with extensive senior leadership experience and demonstrated expertise in Financial Reporting and Restructuring, Strategic planning and Operational Excellence, Mergers and Acquisitions , Cash Management as well as Risk and Governance. He spent 18 years at SNC-Lavalin, where he was CFO and led the financial reporting for a division with Revenues of $650M, and within a short time, was able to vastly improve the financial reporting through the use of current technology, brought all of the key financial indicators in line with Industry standards, and was instrumental in achieving growth . He has extensive experience in M&A, having established a team to support SNC­ Lavalin's strategic vis ion of growth through acquisitions, and was involved in the acquisition and successful integration of 50 companies over a 5-year period. Terry also has a very varied experience in Operational Excellence as we all as governance, having led the CEO-CFO certification process for a publicly traded Company while at SNC-Lavalin. He also has previous Banking experience, having spent 10 years at the Royal Bank of Canada and earned his CPA in 1984.



Chief Business Development Officer, Canada

Ravi Deshpande is a former health professional. He holds deep experience in specialty pharmaceuticals, drug development and commercialization, post approval launch and channel development. Prior to joining ELNA Medical, he served as special advisor to the CEO of McKesson Canada advising on the corporate strategy and M&A activities of McKesson, Rexall, Claimsecure and Mr. Deshpande has held appointments in the hospital sector and was assistant professor of Medicine at the Bowman Gray School of Medicine, Wake Forest University in North Carolina. He co-founded Phase 4 Health, a pharmaceutical services firm providing patient, prescription and consulting services to the pharmaceutical industry. It was acquired by McKesson Canada in 2005.

Dr Benjamin BURKO

Chief Innovation Officer

Dr. Benjamin Burko is a graduate of McGill University (BSc. 1984, MDCM 1988) and completed his General Pediatrics Residency/Emergency Fellowship at The Montreal Children's Hospital in 1993. He is an assistant professor of medicine at the McGill University Health Centre in the department of Pediatrics and Family Medicine, and clinician teacher, supervising 75 trainees per year. From 1997 until early 2020 he was the practice manager and medical director of Tiny Tots Medical Centre, the largest (non-hospital) pediatric ambulatory facility in Canada, which features the services of over 50 Family Medicine and Pediatric Specialist doctors as well as a team of allied therapists in two locations - servicing the needs of 140,000 patient visits annually. He has been on the forefront of using technology to enhance medical office administration and clinical encounters, driving operational expenses and office overhead to record lows while creating efficiencies enjoyed by the Physicians, Support Staff and Patients alike. He was the project manager that brought both clinics to a fully paperless Electronic Medical Record environment, as well as the widespread adoption of Medical Scribes. In 2000, he created North America's first on-line Patient Scheduling system and raised private and institutional equity to fund the venture. He is a regular speaker on a national and international level in Pediatrics and Practice Management. He has been active on a number of boards, one of which was the Faculty Advisory Board of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences of McGill University, which he co-chaired from 2016-2018.
