Boasting extensive experience in his field, Dr. Francisco Javier Apullan is particularly interested in cardiovascular prevention. In 2005, he obtained his specialized degree and graduated as a cardiologist in Argentina. Upon his arrival in Canada, in 2006, he completed his fellowship in cardiovascular prevention at the EPIC Center of the Montreal Heart Institute. Since then, his interest in this field has continued to grow. In 2022, he obtained an interuniversity diploma in cardiovascular prevention and rehabilitation from the Université de Paris.
Dr. Apullan currently serves as director of the cardiac rehabilitation program at Pierre-Boucher Hospital in Longueuil. He is also the founder and CEO of the PreveMed metabolic health clinic, where his research actively leads him to promote and further the advancements of preventative cardiovascular health care.
