Anxiety disorders in children and adolescents
Anxiety disorders, such as generalized anxiety disorder, OCD and phobias, are mental disorders that can impact children’s emotional experiences, social development, academic functioning, and behavior. Affected indirectly, parents and family members often wonder how to help an anxious child.
Managing anxiety in childhood can limit the repercussions in adulthood. At ELNA Private Care, we offer personalized support to treat anxiety disorders in young people, helping them to overcome challenges, reach their full potential, so they can fully enjoy life.
Private Child Psychiatry Services
Initial Assessment and Treatment Plan
A detailed assessment by the child psychiatrist helps identify the nature of the anxiety disorder(s), make a medical diagnosis, and define a treatment plan adapted to your child’s needs, which may include therapies and the use of medication (if deemed appropriate).
Based on these findings and your child’s needs. If treatment at our clinic is not the preferred intervention following the assessment, we will guide you to the appropriate resources while providing a clearer understanding of the issues to address and the objectives to pursue.

Follow-Up and Therapies
Medical follow-ups enable us to monitor your child’s condition and evaluate the relevance of the treatment plan, making adjustments as necessary. Depending on clinical indications, individual therapies and/or family interventions with a child psychiatrist may also be conducted, to help young people overcome their symptoms and the resulting consequences. These therapies can be carried out face-to-face or via telemedicine.
