Originally from Saskatchewan, Dr. Schommer moved to Alberta to pursue his academic studies. In 2009, he earned his medical degree from the University of Alberta.
Working part-time at Medicentres, he enjoys interacting with a variety of patients and solving complex medical problems.
Dr. Schommer has an interest in addiction medicine as part of a subspecialty clinic. He is also occasionally involved in teaching programs for residents and students at the University of Calgary.
Dr. Schommer is passionate about running, cycling, coaching and watching the Oilers. He also enjoys spending time in the mountains. He currently spends his free time with his twins.
