Dr. Barone is a pediatrician who earned her medical degree from Université de Montréal and completed her pediatric residency at CHU Sainte-Justine in Montreal. She also completed specialty training in pediatric palliative care and bioethics at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and the Berman Institute of Bioethics.
Dr. Barone is currently the medical director of The Lighthouse Children and Families, Quebec’s first pediatric palliative care house for seriously ill children, and works as a general pediatrician in a community-based practice. She is a Goldbloom Fellow and Lecturer in the Department of Pediatrics at McGill University and supervises pediatric residents in a community setting. When she is not working, she enjoys live music, travelling, reading and spending time with her husband and 2 daughters.
