Your questions.
Our answers.

Find answers to help you choose a service and prepare for your first visit.

Can I book an appointment if I don’t have a family doctor?

Yes. We offer private medical consultations, health assessments and follow-up care for patients aged 14 and older, subject to availability and service requirements. We’ll explain the fees and membership options before your visit. Receiving care here does not register you with a family doctor in the public system.

Can you help me see a specialist?

If you need specialist care, your doctor can refer you to the public specialist clinic in the same complex. Our team helps ELNA Private Care members book appointments and coordinate follow-up. Appointments depend on medical need and availability; priority access and wait times are not guaranteed.

Who can receive care?

We welcome patients aged 14 and older for private medical care and patients aged 3 and older for lab tests. Tourists and international students are also welcome. Some services have additional requirements, so check with our team.

Are services covered by RAMQ?

ELNA Private Care consultations are paid services and are not covered by RAMQ. The public specialist clinic operates separately. Its services are covered by RAMQ for eligible patients, require a medical referral and are subject to availability. ELNA membership does not guarantee registration with the family medicine group (GMF), priority access or a specific wait time to see a specialist.

Will my private insurance cover the cost?

Coverage depends on the service and your plan. We provide receipts for eligible services and offer direct billing with participating insurers. You pay any amount your plan does not cover. Check your coverage before your visit.

Do I need a membership?

No, it is optional. It covers one person. Members save $60 per visit on individually booked medical services, including health assessments, consultations and minor urgent care. The discount does not apply to CDL laboratory tests. Membership is valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. Annual membership is included in Alliance Santé, Alliance Signature, Équilibre 360, ADHD and ADHD+ packages.

How do I book an appointment?

Call 514-787-0055. We’ll help you choose a service and confirm availability, location and fees. Your appointment is not confirmed until you hear back from our team.

Can I get an appointment soon?

For minor urgent health concerns, appointments are generally available within 24 hours, or the same day if you contact us before noon. Our team must confirm availability. If you are in immediate danger, call 911.

Do I need a requisition for laboratory tests?

You can get tested for urinary tract infections, pregnancy, strep throat, sexually transmitted infections (STIs) and HIV without a doctor’s requisition through services provided under collective prescriptions. Book an appointment with a nurse to check your eligibility and have the appropriate tests done or arranged. Treatment is prescribed when needed, in accordance with the applicable protocol. With Alliance Santé and Alliance Signature, one test per year is included (up to $150).

How can I change or cancel an appointment?

Call 514-787-0055 to change or cancel an appointment. We’ll explain the notice period, any fees and other conditions when you book.

Does my employer receive my results?

No. Your employer’s HR team does not receive your results or diagnoses. You discuss your health directly with your care team.

Is annual bloodwork required?

No. Your doctor will recommend blood tests based on your needs. Each package includes one set of lab tests. Any additional tests are billed separately.

How long are Alliance Santé, Alliance Signature, Équilibre 360 and ADHD packages valid?

Each package covers one person and is valid for one year. If you have a valid package, your spouse or an immediate family member aged 14 or older can get 10% off their own package.

Can I transfer a follow-up visit?

You can give one of your follow-up appointments to someone aged 14 or older who lives in Québec. The appointment covers a single health concern and cannot be used for a comprehensive health assessment.
